Whether you’re an aspiring business strategist, developer, policymaker, data scientist, entrepreneur, researcher, or designer, the Discover AI Challenge is for you. Students and alumni of all backgrounds are welcome to participate – no technical experience needed!
The Discover AI Challenge allows you to work on a topic you are passionate about and develop an innovative idea on how existing issues can be tackled by using AI. You can use the Mini-Challenges to build your skills in specific fields to then apply your knowledge to this challenge, or you can directly start participating in the Discover AI Challenge.

Education
How can AI be leveraged to improve working and education conditions? How can quality education be made accessible to a larger community through AI? How can we enhance learning through AI?
Sustainability
How can we take advantage of AI to build more sustainable and inclusive communities? How can we reduce waste and pollution with AI? How can AI be leveraged to protect the climate and the earth? How can AI enhance sustainable urban planning? How can business become more sustainable through AI?
Banking & Finance
How can we imagine future banking with AI? How can AI help to improve efficiency, production and/or effectiveness in the finance sector? The Financial Services industry is, and will continue to see a dramatic shift in the products and services they offer in a need to become more efficient and client-centric.
Healthcare
How can AI be leveraged in healthcare? What new technologies and procedures can be imagined using AI? The future of healthcare relies on technological innovation to maximize efficiency, improve sanitation and hygiene, and increase access to physicians.

Since the Mini-Challenges are running right now, the time size is limited to two people. You can invite more team members (up to 5) after the last Mini-Challenge.

DEVELOPMENT & COACHING
Starting in April 2021
During our coaching sessions, we will answer your questions and help you advance your projects. We will offer 3 coaching sessions throughout the challenge that will revolve around the Discover AI Challenge.
You can submit your project at until End of May on the platform in the section Discover AI Challenge.Submission Deadline: End of May

GRAND FINALE
Mid-June
Out of all submissions we will select 5 teams that will be invited to present during the final live event happening in Mid-June.
This event will be the grand finale of the Discover AI Upskilling Journey. We will celebrate the results of the Mini-Challenges, the Cloud Skills Challenge and your presentations.
Your Mission
Your mission is to develop a prototype for a business idea based on AI in one of the 4 presented categories. To present your results you are required to submit an up to 20 slide presentation, as well as a demo video of your prototype of up to 3 min. If you have participated in the Mini-Challenge you can also submit the project you have already worked on with more details.
